No Sam Raimi, no party.

You can't just make this movie without him and expect this to be good.

i liked the 2013 version. it's no replacement for the original recipes, but it's bloody and pacey and goes down perfectly easily. only problem is they killed the hottest girl too early into the movie.

i know he was a producer on the movie, but that's usually fairly meaningless, no?

reply

The biggest problem I had with the remake was that it was an Evil Dead movie. Just give it a different title and say that they were inspired by the Evil Dead movies.

But yeah, him being producer means nothing to me.

reply

It's like James Cameron being a producer of a Terminator movie but not directing.

reply

Exactly.

reply

Yup. You just know its gonna be horrible and woke. The last one was a complete waste of time.

reply

No, 2013 was good!

reply

You can think so if you want but it was nothing compared to the original. Im sorry its just true, there is no comparison. You may have enjoyed it and it entertained you but no its a very weak imitation of the original.

reply

Yeah I thought it sucked. Especially since they showed the "We're Gonna Get You" song in the previews but it wasn't shown in the movie. WTF is that crap?! It sucked for me.

reply

If this is anything like the remake, I'm down for it. That movie was incredible. I shouldn't have slept on it.

femoids = woke

It's deemed very good from the LA screeding and the scorning in Denmark. On par with ED 2013. If WB wish to release this in in April 2023 they are projecting $ 150 mill++ Worldwide

reply

I heard this is a standalone film and not a continuation. If that's the case, I'm okay with Sam Raimi not directing.

No Brucie, no watchie.
