Have you seen something sadder? I haven't, well maybe Cannibal Holocaust, but that is a very exploitative film.. Okay those two are the most depressing films that made me feel sad after and while watching them.

Never Let Me Go is definitely one of the most depressing, but beautiful films i have seen.
Grave Of The Fireflies is just as powerful too, but in a very different way.

shareIt was depressing, but that kind of boring-depressing that doesn't touch me. Maybe I had difficulties in buying the story and consequently failed to feel for the characters, or maybe I simply did not like it.
"Please, if you are trying to convert me, this isn't a good time"
Vagabond (1986). In the first scene of this film the frozen corpse of the lead character is discovered in a ditch somewhere in the grim French countryside. In the subsequent flashbacks it is all downhill from there on.
