Season 2 will be a huge bomb.
Nobody cares about the stupid Menendez Brothers. There's a million other murder cases more interesting than them.
shareNobody cares about the stupid Menendez Brothers. There's a million other murder cases more interesting than them.
shareMaybe more people will care after seeing the show.
Is it out now?
Wrong, just watched it, not bad at all.
shareYeah I agree.
Ryan Murphy has done some good work. "Dahmer" , "FEUD: Bette and Joan", "The People vs OJ SImpson".
Based on this one decided to give The Menendez Brothers a shot.
It was pretty good. Better than I thought it would be.
One was actually surprised Murphy tended to showcase the brothers as they really are (IMO anyway).
I agree...I loved Feud bette and joan, and also loved Feud about Truman. The menendez brothers was very well executed, and the characters were convincing.. I love me some Chloe and Javier so they had me there lol.
shareBut honestly... Wouldn't a huge ten hour miniseries about Jim Jones and the People's Temple have been far more gripping and intriguing?
shareMaybe. It's pretty clear cut though what happened in Jonestown.
With The Menendez Brothers, it's ambiguous. Some think they were heavily abused children and the parents got what they deserved, others think they were spoiled brats who did it for $.
Jim Jones and the People Temple, yeah, there is a lot there, but it's been covered.
On the other hand, Jeffrey Dahmer's story has been well documented, and yet, "Dahmer" was very good (IMO).
So, I don't know. Maybe a Monsters story about Jim Jones and the People's Temple would work.
I cant find the Dahmer film by the same director,,if you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
shareSure.
It's called "Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story"
It is currently on NETFLIX.

I never saw your comment until now but thank you. I just finished it tonight and it was really good. some are saying some facts are twisted so I gotta do some research now. So far I finished dahmer, menendez brothers, Fued bette and Joan and Feud Truman capote. I think all from the same director.
shareYeah I thought it was good, too.
Well I'm sure it wasn't 100% accurate, but it maintained the gist of what happened. The two biggest realities were explored correctly - Dahmer actually was that crazy and actually did do those insane things, and still, his Father actually did stick right by him.
Yeah, I can join you on Dahmer, Menendez, and Bette and Joan - I liked them all, too. The main force behind all three is a guy named Ryan Murphy.
Watch the Truman Capote one. I didnt think I would like it but it was so good. I never paid much mind to Capote but my lord that series had me hook line and sinker. The women that were in his circle were depicted perfectly. Come back here for your review of it if ever you watch.
shareOk, will do.
Thanks
I don’t think the reasons behind the Jonestown events are easy to grasp for those who haven’t done the research. I think a documentary centering content from the hundreds of FBI tapes would be a good idea. Lots of juicy, fascinating content on those tapes, yet they’re so underutilized in Jonestown documentaries.
This thread really didn’t age well. Last I checked, the Menendez series held the #1 and #3 spots on Netflix.
Who?
shareIdk, I just saw the Netflix documentary and it was fantastic. Prior to that there have been a number of tiktok and yt vids on them so I guess people are interested.
