Missing mission to Mars?
During the film, there are TV news reports about a mission to Mars. At the end when the apes are traveling through the trees in suburbia, A newspaper is thrown onto the sidewalk.
Someone picks up the paper and the headline is shown concerning the Mars mission: “Lost in Space?”
We can assume that’s going to lead to an event in a future film that’s going to duplicate what happened in the original 1968 film, with the astronauts showing up in the ape’s world.
