What they did with Loomis was like something from a spoof movie

Seriously it was so over the top and ridiculous, with him being this self-absorbed egotiscal premadonna acting like an asshole celebrity. Just that scene "No thats the wrong photograph! that is old Loomis! this is new Loomis!" talking about he now wears a black coat instead of a beige coat..... I mean can you see the Loomis from the first movie behaving in that way? no its two different people. An old man doesn't have that drastic shift of a personality at his age, they don't.

Loomis especially after the events of the first movie should be a depressed and defeated man, feeling like he failed Michael and he failed Laurie, and he's maybe even drinking to deal with it. I mean why does he change into an egotiscal Premadonna? makes zero sense after what he went through.

Just all of his scenes are him being a pompous asshole and its played off as comedic, just why? i'd seriously like an explanation from Rob about this.

Then in the final last few minutes of the movie after spending the entire movie being an egoistical asshole, suddenly sees Michael is alive and he just shifts back into Loomis from the first movie and we're supposed to like him again.

Its just like Zombie took a giant steaming pile of shit on the character in this, it even shits on the character he created in his first movie.

I agree, the book signing scene was especially absurd. It's bordering on parody much like Halloween Kills with its 'evil dies tonight' silliness.
