Watched it today; best third film ever, just a brilliant film period.

I came across the thread title "Watched it today; best superhero film ever, just brilliant film period" on the Avengers page again and now I think of this film. It's amazing that Marvel can now give us at least one film a year where people can use terms like "the best ever" and mean it.

Avengers is still the best genre film but IM3 is now the best genre film that's third in a trilogy.

To paraphrase a quote, it's all about story, stupid. The plot turns and dialogue really are some of the best this type film has ever produced. I'm talking all-time great. Things are so much more complex then they were in the days of Donner's Superman for example. If this challenges some movie goers who want video game madness over story then so be it.

Donner's Superman may always have a fond place in people's hearts and even memories but it really does NOT hold up well at all.

Civil War added even more depth to the character of Tony Stark. Didn't think that was possible.

Yet again I hear from you these incomprehensible talks about some mysterious "wondrous" which you can't describe. Nevertheless, critics usually don't care whether the movie has "wondrous" or not. They mostly care about the movie which they're watching - if it's good or not. I think your idea of how movies are reviewed is quite idiotic. Also, you're talking about someone being ashamed of comic books on a message board for a movie that was definitely ashamed of the comic books.

Nolan's stuff wouldn't be as well received today.

Excuses from MCU apologist always sound like this. They always try to create conspiracy theories behind every thing that they don't like.

Iron Man 3 is still cherished by the masses. Great films linger in history and bask in constant adoration.
