This movie is not better than The Fighter because....

Well the Fighter is a true story, Warrior is not. Not only this their was too many plot holes. Like how he went AWOL in Afghanistan and ended up back in America. That was LAUGHABLE especially since our continents don't even connect. Whoever wrote this script should be embarrassed. Also the fact that the brother relationship in the Fighter was more realistic. Many people have drug addict siblings but just deal with it and take them as they are. I find this very sentimental especially since i can relate on a personal level. In the Warrior the older brother didn't even hire a private investigator to try and find his brother. As an older sibling, i find that SHAMEFUL.The only time siblings don't see each other for years is if: One suffers from a drug addiction, one is kidnapped, or their was some big argument that caused a lot of emotional pain. The idea of years going by without knowing where my younger sibling is makes me physically sick. Also I don't know why the younger brother is so mad. He moved away therefore he still had his older brothers phone number, not the other way around. How do you expect your older brother to have the number if your ASS left to a NEW location. His anger is illogical to the point of being LAUGHABLE.

Star Wars isn't a true story...
Can you only watch films that are realistic?

Both films were really good. But for me Nick Nolte was amazing in this. His performance made Warrior better than The Fighter.

A few things, but first let's get your "facts" out of the way.

1. Fighter is based on a true story and took a million liberties. It's as close to a true story as Rudy was. That's saying a lot coming from an Irish fan who knows many players who played with Dan considering he was a drug dealer during his time in South Bend. I guess that wouldn't have fit the story though.

2. It was laughable that Tommy went AWOL because Afghanistan and North America aren't on the same continent? I have zero clue why that's laughable. You already answered whether you have a military background - no. Do you know how easy it is to find your way back Stateside from the military? It's very, very easy. I went to high school with two guys who went AWOL from the Marine Corps. One was in Japan and one was in Iraq. I'm sure they didn't swim here.

3. You find it more realistic because "you can relate"? So, it's completely subjective in other words? Awesome. In fact, your entire argument from that point one was completely your opinion and something to do with your tragic life story.

I find your entire answer "illogical", "laughable" and well, maybe not "shameful". You just seem like some tool who is completely full of himself.

Hell, I grew up in Philly and this movie puts Rocky to shame. Fighter was solid, but I can name 20 boxing movies better than it. Hell, Cinderella Man is based on a true story and is 10 times the film.

How about "there were" too many plot holes? Can't even read your review...this is simple *beep* grammar, GTFOH

the fighter was way better

no..it is not, I bought this film, I turned "The Fighter" off after 35 minutes because it was very boring, and the accent work was sub-par.

I just enjoy a good story. This one is make-believe, so it is easier to let the inconsistencies go. The fighter was SO WELL PLAYED by Christian Bale that it was painful, but I enjoyed this made-up story as well. I also like Red Belt to a lesser degree. There have been so many terrible movies involving the subculture of martial arts, it is nice to see producers put some decent money into these projects and cast better actors (Joel Edgerton is no slouch, nor is Tom Hardy.)My .02 cents.
