4 years without Stargate, thx to this POS
Thanks a lot, SGU
shareIf the stargates weren't in SG:U, I wouldn't even tell that it was a Stargate franchise series. Tbh, I'm one of those who liked the other two Stargate series for their light comedic atmosphere and SG:U just isn't Stargate to me.
shareSGU was stupid and i mean that in the sense that whenever there was a smart and obvious thing to do the characters did something stupid instead, i hated them for that and couldn't stand to watch.
i didn't like SGA at first but after it ended i got the box sets and watch them and now i like it i tried the same with this show and it still makes my blood boil.
i will never understand how they could have been so stupid as to go ahead with this lame BSG ripoff.
SGU WAS SUPERIOR to all other Stargates. SGU is Sci Fi at its best!
... End of line.
Stargate Universe was the best!
shareYou didn't like it OP? Maybe you're too young to enjoy it properly.
shareHaving read through this I come away with the following conclusions.
Stargate fans did NOT kill this series. The series offered pretty much no reason for a Stargate fan to watch. Include myself in that group. I watched until the first season's mid-season break and decided not to come back. Bottom line: absolutely NO character was likable. Every character was so flawed as to be utterly unlikable.
The other side of the coin is it could not attract NEW fans either. Perhaps they also didn't care to watch a show where it seemed everybody hated and plotted against everybody else.
The creators and exec producers wanted a "darker" show. Well, they got it. It went totally dark after only 40 episodes. Unfortunately, it may have poisoned the franchise well for a very long time.
"I may be wrong but that's just my opinion."
Dennis Miller
yep. That sums it up pretty well.
