Does anybody give a rat's ass?

I really like the Olympics. For many of these athletes and sports, it is the only time they are ever on a global stage, doing what they have trained hours each day to achieve at the highest levels. Once in a while, you get to witness a true, unadulterated and pure Olympic moment. It can move you, or it can elicit: “Who gives a rat’s ass?” I like to be moved, and witness pure joy. Pure team and sportsmanship. It’s rare these days, but it does still happen. The Olympics can still bring that magic, if you’re not too jaded to let it in.

Some do. Others don't. I haven't watched the Olympics since the 80's. But I have friends who watch them regularly. Especially the winter Olympics

No. As someone who normally loved the winter games I can tell you I have watched about 5 minutes and haven’t missed it.
