Am I the only one that thought that James McAvoy overacted terribly in this movie? I'm a big X-men fan and was super excited to see the movie, especially a young Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, but didn't care for McAvoy's performance at all. Michael Fassbender did an amazing job, pretty much the only one who did a good job, and in my opinion made what could have been a terrible movie decent.

So much so that Xavier's older self in Days of Future Past told Wolverine, and I quote, "I was a very different man then. You'll have to be patient with me."

shareI thought he was fine. I didnt think anything of Fassbender. He didnt have the charisma of McKellan--in fact the movie floored me because other than McAvoy and perhaps the guy playing Hank McCoy, the other actors- the young uns, were so devoid of charisma.

I thought I was watching a high school drama rehearsal when they discuss giving themselves names.
I dont think it was just me not paying attention because I watched Guardians of the Galaxy recently and Chris Pratt is also a very weak actor.
Some of the people hailed as great new discoveries wouldnt be able to hold a scene with actors in movies from 40 years ago. They had more screen presence, stronger voices and appearance than today.
