Michael Fassbender's Accents

Did anyone notice that after Magento kills Shaw, Fassbender just stops trying and finishes out the movie with an Irish accent? He seemed to have more of a British accent (when speaking English) for the rest of the film to that point. It's hard not to notice.

I noticed that too. Fassbender is Irish/German so it may just have been because he was shouting.

That's what I came here to comment on. The whole last act basically his Irish accent just gets stronger all the time.

They should probably have made some kind of excuse, some reason he had lived in Ireland for the past decade or something.

Just noticed it after second viewing.

Whose idea was it btw?

English is not my first language so it was hard for me to tell first time too. But after a few viewings I hear a subtle difference in the end. It must be hard to keep up an accent. That's why I could never be an actress, I'm awful at mimicking accents.

Equal love for everyone.

I remember him saying when he was on graham Norton for X-men that he did his own accent for first class and McKellen's for Days of Future Past. So I don't think he was trying to be British throughout the film, I guess it just happened like that. :P

Yeah it was a glaring change wasnt it. It really stuck out. Suddenly hes Paddy the metal manipulator.
