The negative reviews? In the words of Black Panther: “I don’t care”.

I was hoping for the best but I was expecting the worst nonetheless. I love the character and Tom Hardy as an actor and that is enough reason for me to go see it. Besides, I already saw two of the recent negatively-reviewed movies... The Predator & The Nun... and I still had a good time. Frankly, the way many are describing Venom as bizarre... only makes me want to see it more! XD For what it’s worth, the handful of positive reviews are reassuring enough for me (I might appreciate it for what it is).

I was confused by the hype around this movie. I agree Hardy is a great choice but the movie itself, along with the effects and Venom voice all looked and sounded goofy. So I think a lot of people wanted this to be good. I wanted it to be good. But from the trailers alone, I have no interest in seeing it. It probably would have been better to have Marvel make this movie.
