The Wicked Witch transformation

At its core, it is a prequel to the original film. I'm having a hard time believing a turn of events would lead to the wicked witch character.

Wait until you see Part 2.

It explains why it happens.

Though clues are laid out in this one.

It makes more sense in the novel, from what I've heard. But frankly, I never liked "Wicked," and never included it on my list of Oz stories to read. The transformation was even dumber and more cliche in "Oz the Great and Powerful."
