Should've Ended Before the Hospital Scene

Well it's October and that time of the year to pull out my scariest movies...

Watched Scream 4 again last night. Now I know a lot of people have their favorite Scream movies, but I love all four for different reasons.

I just think this movie should have ended with Jill facing Sydney on the kitchen floor. Or maybe with the police cars racing up with their sirens blaring. What a cliffhanger! Did Sydney survive? Did Jill? After all, she beat herself up pretty badly and maybe she miscalculated and hit an artery.

How about Kirby? It's been speculated that we never actually saw her die.

I think that ending would've been a great setup for a sequel. I suppose that's out of the question with the passing of Wes Craven though.

The hospital scene is just SO weak and unbelievably illogical. Jill rips off the little sensors that have her hooked up to the monitors. There's a reason why hospitals put those on patients. To MONITOR them! Duh! The nurses' station would have immediately noticed and come running to find out why their patient was flatlining!
Same with Sydney's monitors. She was in ICU for cryin' out loud. That means she would not have been alone to suffer an attack.

There's a lot of suspension of disbelief in this movie. But the hospital stuff is just plain wrong. There were NO nurses, orderlies, doctors, etc. anywhere. It just doesn't happen. There was an awful lot of noise going on in Sydney's room. Jill shot Deputy Judy. Didn't anyone, not even other patients, hear a gunshot? Hospitals do have security. But not this one apparently.
