are they trying to be the new Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks?

I'm sure there's a newer/more often connected couple in Hollywood but that's the one that has come to my mind. I'm talking about the fact that Jennifer Lawrence and Bradly Cooper are now in at least three movies together. I have no interest in seeing a single one of those movies. I might have been more interested in one of them if they weren't both staring in them and probably not even then but the fact that they're not expanding their wings by acting with other people turns me of these movies.

I don't mind Jennifer Lawrence. Although she seems too young for this role.

But I can't take Bradley Cooper seriously as leading man. I can't figure out why they keep pushing him on us.

Lawrence starred in WINTERS BONE (Oscar nomination) and HUNGER GAMES I and II ( which have made a billion dollars) without Cooper. So what are you talking about? You're avoiding their movies because you don't like the idea of a couple appearing in 3 movies together??

They will never be the new Meg and Tom.

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan had a much more distinct chemistry that even the casual movie-goer was able to see and experience, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper do not.

Pretty much but Jen and Brad can't hold a candle to the movies (and talent) Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan have together and apart. Box office over quality. Style over substance. Back then people cared about the stories of movies over "the look" and shallow attributes of the leading roles. Tom Hanks never really looked like a leading man, he didn't have the perfect, toned body (no six pack abs), he was slightly receding with frizzy hair, especially in Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. Meg Ryan was flat-chested (never got breast enhancements in the 90s) and always wore frumpy clothes. They both had made memorable movies in their prime we still watch today. Jennifer and Bradley's films together will be a popularity contest lost and forgotten.

We're supposed to be home David! We're supposed to be in color!

Their not trying to so you can stop with the immature stupid comparisons. Yes your watching them but the generation now will have their own favorites and like it or not Jennifer's been in stuff that will last. My kids will be watching The Hunger Game movies because it's a huge cult classic for millions maybe not for you but that doesn't matter. Jennifer and Bradley will continue to make great movies their careers have just started so don't talk about their careers like you can see in the future. Why are you even on here if you hate them ? Your just being a punk go comment on their boards.

Well said.

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are much better and more likeable actors. This is coming from a Bradley Cooper fan. Tom Hanks is out of his league. Even though Jennifer Lawrence is a very good actress, she's terribly overrated. I don't find her nearly as likeable as Meg Ryan was back in the days.
