Why is Jennifer Lawrence getting 2nd billing?

Don't get me wrong, Bradley Cooper is a talented actor, but why is he getting top billing? I think Jennifer Lawrence has proven herself as a very talented actress with 3 Oscar Nominations along with one Best Actress win (she almost pulled off back-to-back wins but did win back-to-back Globes). I know Bradley Cooper has been nominated for 2 Oscars and 2 Globes but he's yet to bring home the win.

I mean the movie is called 'Serena' shouldn't Jennifer Lawrence be given Top Billing or at least let Lawrence and Cooper share the same screen.

It's a shame that in this day and age you have an actress as talented and awarded as Jennifer Lawrence and you're still second billing her.

Ignoring all the juvenile sniping, I'll answer your question.

IMDB billing often lists cast members in the order in which they appear in the film rather than the order of casting. It's annoying but it happens.

Also, despite that the film is named after her character, the film is about him and his business and his marriage to Serena. It's not Serena's story, it's his. He is the main POV character.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

That would be a top thread for sure, with all those PC people on IMDB...
