'So many Australian/NZ/British actors find it incredibly easy to do an American accent. But for some reason - maybe shes dumb - Rossi has created a new, creepy accent that is not American no Australian. She sounds like she just isn't moving the roof of her mouth.'
Since none of us move either the soft or hard palate (the 'roof of her mouth') when we speak, this is one of the more ridiculous and foolish posts ever written on the IMDB to date. Both parts of the palate are rigid when we speak.
Portia de Rossi is gifted with accents. The single word she speaks which belies her American accents is the word 'anything.' No matter how she makes the attempt, it always comes out 'ennything.' She's an outstanding actress who makes her characters believable in every role. Whether they're meant to be hated or loved, they're wonderful.
