IT Crowd was pretty funny when i watched it. from what i remember it might be a bit cheesy for me now. community used to be my number 2 favorite comedies of all time but the show wore off on me a bit and the episodes became somewhat hit or miss in the second season as opposed to the first season where i found every episode hilarious. better off ted is now my 2nd favorite comedy of all time.
1. arrested development 2. better off ted 3. psych 4. community
all shows that have a good mix of wet and dry humor IMO.
The obvious one is 30 Rock, in fact it seems to be they copied 30 Rock a little too closely. Veronica is just a female Jack. Phil and Lem are composites of all the weenie writers. Linda has Lemons angst and neurosis. The only character they didnt directly copy was Tracy, which may be why it seems lacking.
Andy Richter Controls the Universe Working Dilbert (In general concept, though this is much slower-paced)
This show is designed similarly to those two, including a cast member and same building facade from Andy Richter. The company commercials and Its design are like those of Upton/Weber from Working.
Sadly, shows like this never seem to make it more than 2 seasons. What a waste.
You might try either verison of The Office (UK or US). Along with BOT, all three are workplace comedies without a laugh track in which characters break the fourth wall.
