Isabel is a whore

True definition of a cheating whore

reply

Well maybe not a cheating whore, but maybe yes. I found her to be a disturbing sexual predator. She is like Eve bringing down an Adam, not that I'm at all religious but he pretty much said no enough times and gave a good reason. She just kept coming. Made me think of a lecherous priest and an alter boy. I mean sigh, do I need to go there, but if the roles were reversed and she was a nun and some guy kept coming on to her. See what I mean, hence I say disturbing sexual predator.

I didn't care much for her character's presence throughout the movie. The movie could have easily worked without her instead of the makers feeling that some romance sub-plot was needed. As it was, she was just a horny noble woman who thought okay to cheat on her husband and pursue a member of the Knights Templar in a sexual manner, because she saw fulfilling her needs as of more importance than his solemn vows to God.

I can't help thinking that the movie, as well as Marshall, would have been better off without her overall.

As others have said, if the gender roles were reversed e.g a middle-aged leering alpha male chasing a chaste innocent young female virgin, the man would likely be seen in a negative light and be viewed as a predator.

Man, if you're going to call something the "True definition", you should maybe look up the definition first.

She was an adulteress. Not a whore. But I do find it telling how you have something to say about her, but not so much about the Knight who broke *his* vows to God. You know, the same thing she did? You should ponder what that says about your poor character.

WORDS MEAN THINGS! Also, before you come to bitch about a plot hole, rewatch the show/movie.

That said, she was the one who hit on him, offering to 'tend his wound' when clearly all she did or planned to do was fondle his neck, and so on. Any medieval monk would have clocked instantly that this wicked lustful daughter of Eve was trying to seduce him to his damnation.

That scene annoyed me; it's impossible that these two people are actually going to develop a genuine relationship, if she starts out with that kind of behaviour.
