I can think of literally 50 people I would've marked for over Kanye in one of those awesome cameo roles in the big battle. What a waste!

Why not Robert Downey Jr, Alec Balwin, Will Arnett, Neil Patrick Harris, Stephen Colbert?

If they really wanted a musician to play that MTV anchor role then Justin Timberlake would have been fine. At least he has comedic experience.

I did love seeing Jim Carey, Sacha Baron Cohen, and John C Reilly, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler though.

Omg agreed i was PISSED when i saw him in this movie. What were they thinking! Anyone else would have been fine. Justin Timberlake would have been perfect. Maybe because that certain "news group" had a smaller role in the whole battle? But maybe because noone likes Kanye West LOL. If so they didnt even need someone that big. But if it were someone like Justin or just anyone better than Kanye they could have made the role a little bigger. Even Tosh would have been hilarious, making the whole "reality tv" joke in there he would have been good. Just not Kanye ughhhhhhhh.

The whole cameo extravaganza sucked balls tbh, they should have just skipped that or had it on earlier in the movie it was just exhausting and the pay off was low

I think Kanye was a bad idea because back in those days there were hardly no black artists being played on mtv, MJ was pretty much the only one so to have Kanye as a presenter on all white MTV (at that time) was dumb for that sole reason
