Did anyone else want 'The Girl' to die????

she was utterly annoying, stupid..even her voice and screaming was annoying and stupid, all she cared about thru the whole entire movie was herself and finding something out about herself..even if it meant everyone she came in contact with died...which is what happend except for the one rave kid..even at the end it showed just how selfish she was by getting the kid to leave his dead friend behind so she could get away from it all. like wtf...my friends and i honestly wanted her to die soooooo badly!!! either the filmmaker was completely stupid or they just wanted you to hate her so bad and then give u a slap in the face by letting her live, 2 out of 10 (and the two is only for the effects)

Well, it's the directors wife, so what can you expect! Robert Hall and Bobbi Sue are kind of like the low-budget version of Rob Zombie and Sherry Moon.

And yes, by about the 3rd time that she pulled everyone back into harm's way (or Chrome Skull's way), I was thinking to myself..."OK, just kill her already, this is retarded".

reply

Rob Zombie and Sherri Moon this team will never be. This has to be the worst "80s Homage" I have ever seen. It's not even "Maniac" - which was a Savini showcase of gore AND frightening at the time. Robert Hall should stick to doing makeup effects, Bobbi Sue should be working in a Burger King or a strip club and whoever gave Hall the go ahead to direct should be tarred and feathered - then run out of town on a rail.

***Don't read this if you haven't seen Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 and you want to. There are spoilers for it ahead, and a small spoiler for Laid to Rest***

Yeah, this girl should have died. She was irritating, and selfish to the point that she put others who were much more decent people than her in harms way. She took the freaking car when she could've waited for them. Plus she couldn't really act. When in a slasher film has an irritating (excruciatingly) selfish character not met a grisly demise. There's always a contemptible character in most typical slasher films, and if this is a homage she should've died. The only other time I can think of in which a contemptible character didn't die in a slasher flick was when Mother Superior lived through Silent Night Deadly Night, but I excuse that because she died in the second one. Maybe this girl will die in Laid to Rest 2, but I really don't think this film deserves a sequel.

I read this post before seeing the movie (I rented it to watch at night) and warned my brother that the main character was probably going to be an annoying b-tch. Sure enough.

- Too many people died because of her
- She physically held people back from actually trying to attack and subdue the almighty ChromeSkull!!!
- She kept saying sh-t like "he wants me to get dead" and "I gotta turd real hard."

The redeeming factors of this movie were the decent special effects and Lena Headey speaking in a southern accent. And also seeing Roach from "The People Under the Stairs".

You mean Princess? LOL...you wanted her to die the second she opened her mouth.

I hated here horse husky ass voice. I wanted her to die!!!!

reply

Yes. Wanted them all to die as a matter of fact.

Agreed - terrible casting choice, obviously the director wants his wife to be a star but it ain't gonna happen.

What's the point of casting an average looking fake-breasted girl that can't act if you aren't even going to show some skin? I can understand it if you want to add some sex appeal and nudity but she didn't really add anything positive to the movie if you catch my drift.

Frustrating movie to watch, without thinking I found my fingers grabbing for the remote several times with an urge to hit fast forward. I let out a sigh of relief when it was over. This non-sensical movie gets 3/10 from me - the only redeeming factor was the great gore effects, otherwise it would have been 1/10.
