Wish this movie didn't get as much hate.

I still think it's a great movie. I hate that this movie gets trashed so much. I bet people don't even hate it so much they just hopped on the "Hate Iron Man 2 bandwagon", because someone probably once made a few "good" points on the "flaws" of this movie.

The whole 2 and a half hour Avengers commercial argument is dumb, because it takes maybe 20 minutes total of the movie merely referencing the Avengers. The rest is all Iron Man. Who didn't love the Mark V suit. The whole pallatium poisoning belonged because it is a problem Iron Man would have that Tony, being Tony, figured out how to solve.

In some ways I liked It more than IM1. It still drives me crazy that the final battle of IM1 Tony had the power shortage, and couldn't be at full potential, as he was fighting the Hammer Drones.

Basically, my point is, come up with your own opinion. Don't hate just because you see other's hate on it. It's a snowball effect, and you'll let in ruin the awesome movie this is.

I really hate the tired "It's just a long commercial for Avengers" argument. It really, really isn't. Not to mention it holds NO WATER because now people bitch and cry when these movies DON'T reference other characters/films/SHIELD enough. Make up your minds, whiny fanboys.

There are a total of TWO scenes in a near 2.5 hour film that are directly referencing The Avengers. Just two, and they take up MAYBE 5 minutes of screentime.

The only major issue I have with this film is Vanko's treatment in the second half. He went from being one of the coolest superhero film villains ever to being a disappointment. The final battle itself is awesome, but we all know how short and unsatisfying the Whiplash fight is.

I enjoyed this movie, in particular Rourke's performance. It had a good climax. My least favourite of the Phase one series was 'Thor'. TBH.

I think a lot of people over hype the movies before they come out and then the movie comes out and cant reach those overhyped expectations. First time I seen iron man 2 I was like this is just ok the same with many other marvel movies. Then I rewatch them later and im like wow this movie was actually pretty good and these movies only get better overtime because the new movies characters and such all connect so the universe is just growing together makeing every new movie even better and making the older movies even better.

Not really a bad film but a big downgrade from its predecessor. Justin Theroux ruined it. Wonder why they didn't stick to the original cast who wrote the screenplay.

The problem with this movie, and this is my opinion. Is one of the main issues that the Amazing Spider-man 2 had. It tried to juggle far to many plot lines at the same time and studio intervention stole us what could have been an awesome villain.

Micky Roruke is pretty vocal about this movie and his hate of the final cut. You could say that he's just trying to place blame on someone because of the movies negative reception, but if you do watch it you can tell he was trying to bring something to this movie. Also Marvel has done this before with Thor the Dark World, they cut all of Malekith's scenes so Roruke's claim is sound.

There isn't much I liked about it, all I remember about it is Tony Stark being a jackass to everybody.

Yes! That is what it so good though.

This movie is great. It's a little slow in the second act. We spend a lot of time getting to know characters who ultimately don't mean much in context to the film itself or the saga as whole. That's probably the worst you can say about it. I think most of the hate is from people who were disappointed and never bothered watching it again. Or worse, still hold the film up to their initial expectations all these years later instead of accepting it for what it is.
