Assuming this gets made, he survived getting shot in the neck area ( from Part 1) bleeding allot, and falls in2 a polluted river...........yea story checks out!!!!!

The movie opens with how he survives. He is recovered almost instantly (they actually find him washed up onshore). Plus he spends quite some time in a coma. At one point, Nik (his sidekick/partner) is told by the doctors to decide if they should pull the plug on him since there is nothing more they can do. And then he has six weeks to prepare for the new mission. So it's not a quick recovery and stuff.
