How good was guy pearce?
He played the role so well. He was a prick, creepy and menacing.
shareShould be ranked very high up for on-screen villain. He did an excellent job.
shareCouldn’t have done a better job, of course. His performance+role here is up there with his very best.
Top-tier performances all around.
I thought he was fun but way over the top
He would have been shot within hours of reaching that town
He was great, the scene where he gave Shia’s character the mother of all ass whoopings was brilliant.
share9/10 in a scale of Guy Pearce movies.
Very good but he has done better.
For instance, Count of Monte Cristo. He's insanely amazing it that one.
Should had been nominated.
shareRewatching it now…
His performance as a villain is excellent, very menacing.
I’m still surprised he and his crew weren’t shotgunned and deer rifled to death by the hillbilly whisky clan in his first scene!
I remember liking Guy Pearce as a villain, but I didn't think he played off of Shia's character very well. I remember rooting for Tom Hardy or Jason Clarke to do him in and face off with him more. In fact, I think the movie could have worked even better without Shia's character at all. There would have been more screen time and room to flesh out the villainous rivalry between Pearce and the other two.
shareI understand your criticism and I don’t totally disagree but I did like LaBeouf’s acting and his character.
