Why didn't Breslin hate Rottmayer?
I didn't get the ending, did Rottmayer admit to getting Breslin into the job just to help him escape? Why didn't Breslin feel disgusted? There was a good chance he would've never made it out alive

sharebecause what arnie did was kind of sportsmanship. the real betrayal happened to the dude that ended up with his car in the container. if it wasn' t for this betrayal, all would have been half the situation.

At that point of time (at the beach) Breslin did not know that the cheque bounced (or anything else happening within the outside world for that matter) given that he was held captive on a ship with no means of communication, remember ?
Plus: If he were to hate someone, than it would be Rottmayer's daughter, not Rottmayer. Rottmayer didn't contribute in any way to Breslin being imprisoned.
My thoughts exactly, i always wondered when i watch this how Breslin was so calm and took his handshake this time around after finding out he was set up by Rottmayars daughter!
shareThis has been playing regularly when I scroll through the channels and, for a while, I had only caught bits and pieces of it.
When I finally got around to watching the whole thing, this was my take away at the end. I would have been pissed that I was set up like that.
Edit: I actually came to this website just to see if anyone had the same thought as me. I guess I'm not alone.
Rottmayer's daughter didn't know about Clark's betrayal.
Breslin would not have been in jeopardy if not for Clark's machinations.
