Did anyone else really like it?

I thought it could've been shorter (though I was under the impression the unrated version I watched was indeed longer than theatrical) and I could've done without that horrendous Cookie Monster/Elmo scene (would've been funny if they sounded anything like them), but I liked it a lot.

Most of the characters (psych grad students, Tom's co-workers, ALEX!) were pretty funny and while it was nothing new, I liked the overall "message" of the movie. While it's been done before, it still wasn't one of the 99% of movies that perpetuate the stupid notion of finding THE ONE and having a perfect life.

I didn't mind Blunt and thought Segel was fantastic. I see mostly negative comments here, so call me crazy because I liked it.

I loved it. Rented it and I liked it so much I'm going to buy it & also a couple extras to give as gifts.

The movie was OK up until the point where the Segel character chased after the professor. After that it became a boring mess that doesn't even dare to address the important issue that it poses at the beginning: will a couple be happy sacrificing their own careers just to be with each other?

I love this movie also! I thought the story felt really real and wasn't cliche like all these other romantic comedy movies. Some of the plots were hilarious! Even my husband who doesn't usually watch chick flicks sat through the whole movie with me and thoroughly enjoyed it! Thumbs up for Jason Siegel!

I thought the movie got by on the charm of its lead actors, especially Emily Blunt. If other actors had played the leads, I might have disliked it more.

The premise of the movie, the sacrifices made, the cheating, etc. were a real turn-off, and the whole thing went on too long. There were some good laughs, but few and really far between. It didn't succeed as a romantic comedy, and it wasn't really an honest exploration of modern relationships either.

A little editing, more dynamic writing, fewer pointless cheap stereotypes ... coulda been better. It's Apatow.

The movie was pretty decent. It was too long though, and it could've been a little funnier. I wrote about it here:
