I liked this movie more than any of the Bourne Sequels.

It is a shame this was not more financially successful. It expanded the Bourne Universe past Jason.

I think it's actually a much better film than its given credit for. I just watched it yesterday, probably for the first time since it was in theaters, and I was kind of surprised at how good it was.

I had probably rewatched all the Bourne movies, including the newest one, at least once since this one had come out and I think Legacy holds its own very well.

I'm not sure why this one didn't do as well as the original, other than missing Matt Damon. I think there are side arguments about whether this one complicated the Bourne universe backstor. Maybe its lacking in set piece action elements, since we only really had Renner vs. drone, Renner vs. agents at Weisz's house, and the final chase scene. We also didn't get much of the Jason Bourne style improvisation antics of running ops under active opposition/surveillance.

But beyond those minor quibbles, its a decent conspiracy thriller/action film. I would have liked to have seen the final Jason Bourne film be a combination sequel that merged the Bourne Legacy universe with the Jason Bourne character, maybe even with Renner and Damon joining forces.

It was GREAT. Way better than Bourne 5. And right there with the 3 first films.

Leagues better than Ultimatum and that new one.

This is the ONLY Bourne movie that I like, because (1) it gives us kind of a back-door look into the Bourne universe, showing its underpinnings through the eyes of an unheralded agent and a complete outsider doctor and (2) I don’t like Matt Damon.

Renner is hands down a much stronger actor than Damon. He's gotten fucked over by two franchises now. Both this one and even more egregiously by Mission Impossible, where he was slated to take over for Tom Cruise

And Renner can do straight drama as well as action, e.g., American Hustle. I suppose Damon can, too, but I avoid his movies. You could not pay me enough to watch Good Will Hunting (Hey! Get it? The title works on different levels, man! We are SO clever!) or any of the Oceans’ afterbirths.
