Lets all act like this movie never existed !!

one of the worst movies i ever saw and they should have named it Aron cross or some other because you can't use word bourne without Matt Damon .. he is like a legend actually !!
we love bourne movies and adore them !! eagerly waiting for next bourne movie :) damon is back babyyyy

reply

I don't get the hate for this movie. I liked it.

reply

did you watch previous bourne movies ??

reply

I did, I actually watched all four in four nights.

I'm not saying that this one is better - clearly the original three were best - but despite the lack of an ending I didn't think this one was that bad.

reply

Thank you! I like it a lot too. Moreover, I just watched the new Jason Bourne movie with Matt Damon and The Bourne Legacy was a lot better in my opinion.

reply

I agree this movie is garbage and should have been called something else

reply

haha yes they should've called it Aaron cross

reply

Keep pretending all you want. I like this movie.

reply

thats obvious. you cant name a film Bourne and then not have that character in the movie. thats crazy. otherwise this film wasnt that bad but it lacked one other major thing: trained agent vs other trained agent action. all Bourne films had it, sure Bourne could kick some inexperienced peoples ass but there also were more long fights between trained operatives

one of the worst movies i ever saw

Seriously? Why is there always someone making an outrageous claim like this on practically every movie? If this is one of the 'worst movies' you've ever seen, then you haven't seen squat.

I've seen a TON of crap movies in my time, and this one definitely isn't anywhere close.

I actually just watched this again just now after having seen it a couple years ago. I liked it then, I liked it now.

It is possible to like both Matt Damon AND Jeremy Renner - it isn't a sin.

reply

Hahaha spot on. I can bet that I've seen and forgotten more bad movies than the OP has seen in total if this is "one of the worst movies he's ever seen".

Just did what you did too, re-watched after seeing it back in 2013 and it's not as good as the Damon trilogy but it's a good movie. Seems like most of the hate is based on the title, they all go "can't call it a Bourne movie without Bourne in it" not really giving it a fair shot even.

reply

And I don't get that. It's called the Bourne Legacy. It's a movie based on the lingering effects or legacy left from what Bourne started. I didn't see anything wrong with the title. Anyone who went into this movie expecting to see Bourne has an IQ challenge. It was obvious from the get go that Damon wasn't going to be in this.

You've clearly never watched any High School Musical or Sharnado or any of the other absolute bull Shhhh that SciFi has made. Or Twilight. Or 50 Shades of Mommy Porn. Or Prometheus. Had they called this something similar to Bourne, you wouldn't be such a see you next tuesday about it. Jeremy Renner is an AMAZING actor and did 99% of his own stunts in this excluding a couple on the bike. He's also a great deal younger and more physically capable than Matt Damon who is frankly getting FAR too old and has said as much quite a few times. We clearly found the fanboy would would love to blow Damon and probably picks through his bins. This movie was pretty damn good and I found Renner very believable. The lack of ending was meant to lead to a possible 2nd. Renner was supposed to take over for Damon and Damon OKd him and liked him.

Actually, Renner is only three months younger than Matt Damon, though he does LOOK a lot younger I know.

That's not true. Matt Damon has never met Jeremy Renner, yet this lie gets posted over and over. If it were, the character name would have been Jason Bourne rather than Aaron Cross. Jeremy Renner was hired to star in a spin off series, not to replace Matt Damon. Universal said as much when the film was announced. He is another agent in an entirely different Government program (probably NSA as the program was said to be under the Defense Department and the C.I.A. is a stand alone agency) without any connection whatsoever to Jason Bourne.

And if anyone seems unnaturally fan-boying over an actor, it's you over Renner.

I disagree. The movie was quite good, and as it's called Bourne Legacy, there's nothing they did wrong with the title. The movie is about the shakeup or the lingering legacy left from what Bourne did in the first three movies. If you went into this movie not knowing Damon wasn't going to be in it, that's on you. It was very obvious that he wasn't going to be.
