So, I saw this movie at SXSW last March, and while I didn't care for it as a whole, I thought it could make for an interesting short film. So, I'm thinking about recutting the movie and making myself a shorter version, maybe about 50 or 60 minutes long.
I'm thinking I'll start pretty much the same, he'll be shot and killed, have flash backs of his life, and then return to watch over his sister and friends briefly before either being reborn(which I'm leaning towards) or going into the light...
Anyone have any thoughts on that? Am I out of my mind? Am I missing the point in some way? Because honestly, I thought the movie was alittle long and drawn out. It had some great visuals and was an interesting idea, I just felt like it got weighed down by its own gimmick, if that makes sense.
I think a short version might be cool, so I wanted to see what you guys thought about that idea.
Also, it should be noted I have never before attemtped anything like this. This past weekend I wanted to try my hand at editing, so I cut togeather a test video set to some music, just to see what I could do. It's not perfect, but I thought I did pretty good considering I'd never done it before and that I only spent a few hours learning the software and doing this. Its about 5 minutes or so, and I cut ot way down to be just about him dieing, having a flash back of him as a kid and then walking to his death at The Void.
I think it would be quite an ambitious task! A huge problem for you would be the fact that most of the movie, especially the latter half, is edited and played out as mostly one long, continuous shot. Your only chance to make a cut (without it being obvious or choppy) would be when the "spirit" briefly goes through a wall or into a light. Putting something together without cutting out a chunk of the movie would probably be tough, but I've never really edited anything so what do I know!
If you could tackle this editing task, I imagine anything after that would be a piece of cake! *´¨) ¸.•´. •*´¨).•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•´absolute power corrupts absolutely
Yea, its not going to be easy. It wasn't when I did that editing test either. I had to use "blinks" and some of the hard cuts that were already there. While that wasn't too bad, cutting the movie to be about an hour long will be pretty hard, but I really want to try it.
Like you said, I'll have to cut in places that don't seem too obvious, like when the camera passes through walls and such. Yea, the "continuous shot" look of the film is going to make it hard to do. But, while is the first thing I have ever tried to edit, I think I could do it. Or least make a decent try at it.
Hopefully I can do a decent job with it. I'll try to post some updates as I attempt it. I imagine I'll be doing multiple versions until I settle on one I like.
About the only issue I'm having right now in the planning stages is how to start it. If I keep the beginning as is (tho I'll be cutting down the DMT trip to only a few minutes...instead of 10 or 15 minutes it currently is) and have talking with his sister, tripping, then walking to the void and getting shot, I'm looking at like 20 minutes. And if I want to cut it down to 50 or 60 minutes, thats almost half the run time. So, I need to figure out how to start it.
Then I have to decide how to end it...but I'm leaning towards him being reborn(even tho I read some of the other threads here about the director saying it was all just one long trip as he lays there dying...and the possibility of the birth scene not him being reborn, but rather a memory of his birth), but it could always end with him just dying and letting go. Not sure yet.
Anyway, sorry to ramble on. But yea, it's going to be HUGE task. Maybe I should have picked something easier for my first go and movie editing. ;) But, this is the first movie that I've ever had strong a reaction to that I felt like I should edit it. Thanks for letting babble tho...hopefully I can do it justice.
Well, good luck with it. If I had the time, I'd do it too. This is a movie made for a re-edit - there's so much brilliance in here, but it's suffocated by the director's egotistical vision ("Who cares if it starts boring people? That's the whole point!!!"). An 80-90 minute version of this movie would be a masterpiece...the 2.5 hour long bemoth it is today is too tedious and redundant to be called that.
So long story short, best of luck! Oh, and I would end it when we see the baby on the plane. We don't need all of that neon-lights porn nonsense at the hotel.
While amusing, I think it puts some people off. While I have no personal issues with it, I just don't think I need to show it to get the point across....if that makes sense.

Sadly, I'm not in a position to make my own film, or I surely would.
As for recutting this movie, why not? Art is subjective, right? I mean, part of me agrees with you, I should just let it go. But I can't. I just want to see if I could recut this movie...making it shorter. I'm not re-shooting it, or even changing the visuals or acting. I'm just trimming what I consider to be the fat....if that makes sense. It's like the difference between a theatrical version and a directors cut. Most directors don't get to edit their own movies, or least they didn't used to. An editor would be hired to come in and cut the movie. So, I kind of look at it like that. Like I'm just an editor, and here is how I would cut the movie.
I think this could make for a very cool short film, so thats what I'm setting out to do, make this movie shorter. I like the idea behind it, I just think it needs some trimming.
I mean, it's not like I'm the first person to ever do such a thing, there's a whole subculture of fan edited movies. Besides, I want to do this because I care. If I didn't give a *beep* I'd just move on. But I love some parts of this movie, and I see this as me saving it. It's twisted, sure. But, I guess I'm just a twisted person.
But like I said, while I agree movies are Art, art is subjective and we each see it differently. So, I'm going to take what I like about the movie, cut into its its own shorter movie, and enjoy that.
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
I would love to see what you come up with, please post again if you finish or even get partially into this project. I really enjoy the movie as it is currently and think the drawn-out effect is powerful for sure, but I also agree that there are certain things that could probably do without while still delivering a very powerful effect, and you seem to have an inspired idea as to how to accomplish that so I'd love to see what you get out of it. :)
Leus, I'll send you a PM with instructions on how to download it.
I finished it quite abit back. It's not perfect by any means, but it works for me and turned out pretty much how I hoped. I changed the ending drastically, but I think it works....assuming you understand what I was going for with the edit, which is a more strait forward story, of sorts.
If you watch it, let me know what you think.
BTW, the run time for this edit is about 68 minutes.
___ Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
If you are in fact the director, I'd hoped you would have been more supportive of a project like this. While I realize this is probably your baby, each of us takes something different away from every movie we see. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get behind this movie as a whole, but I love some aspects of it. So, I really want to try to take what I like of the movie and make something I'd feel better about watching.
I'm sorry you're against the idea. While I would have loved to get your endorsement (of sorts), I'm not really asking permission.
Why is it sacrilege? Whats so wrong about it? Not that I'm gonna change my mind about doing it, I'm just always curious about peoples reason for so adamantly against the idea of people taking this movie and re-editing it.
What are your thoughts about the idea of anyone taking any movie and re-editing it? Are you against the the idea as a whole, or only in this case?
I'm just wondering what your(or anyones) thoughts are about the idea of a Fan Edit. I mean, I'm going to watch a Fan Edit tonight of 12 Monkeys that makes the story all from the perspective of the doctor and forces you to think about whether Cole really is a time traveler, or just insane.
I think that sounds like a cool new way to watch one of my favorite movies.
Such is the case with this. I'm going to take something I don't like a whole and transform it into something I do want to watch.
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
i've seen your little video, and it don't predict something good
the music ruin's the athmosphere
I think majority of ETV fans are afraid that your edit gonna make them change their vision of the movie. maybe they gonna hate ETV
srlsy when I think about the huge labor gaspar and his crew have done to make this revolutionary vision become real, and then some random guy come and make a edit using a cheap laptop to ruin it
I'm not trying to threaten anyone's view of of the movie. If you like the movie as is, then you have no reason to be threatened.
I'm not doing away with the original. You'll still be able to watch it. In fact, you'll most likely never see my re-cut.
So what are you worried about? I don't understand it. How could anything I do make you hate the movie? You either like it or you don't. Now, for me, my aim in re-cutting it is to make it something I want to watch, because I don't want to see the original again. I want a shorter version for myself.
Me recutting it in no way diminishes the effort the director, the cast, and the crew put into making this. I don't see how I can ruin it. If you don't like the idea of what I want to do, then don't watch it. It's not like I'm going to force you(or anyone else) to.
As for my little video, how did the music ruin the atmosphere? I thought the music went perfect with what I was showing. The song made me think of a few things from the movie, so that's what I went with. It works for me.
Sorry you didn't care for it.
Anyway, I think I'm starting to sound like a broken record. I'm not sure how many more ways I can say this. This is only meant as a replacement for the movie for me. This re-cut will in no way effect you or your view of the movie as a whole. If it does, then what does that say for the original material?
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
BTW, it should be stated that I could very fail in my attempt at re-cutting the movie. It could be impossible. I haven't started it yet, as I'm waiting for a chance to watch it as a whole one more time(while taking notes) before I start trying to cut it.
But its entirely possible that I won't be able to do it. I'd like to, but it might not work.
Won't know till I try...
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
Ha ha wow. A lot of people are getting butthurt about someone doing their own edit of the film. I say go for it, it doesn't ruin the movie for anyone else. I think this is one movie that could use some editing to trim it down, it plods along unnecessarily and I think a tighter, more fast paced film would improve it over all. I mean the first half an hour could have been shown in the span of fifteen minutes, and that's the intro to the movie.
Yea, always cracked me up that people got so upset. Ah well. The edit is done and I think it turned out pretty good. Got it down to an hour and six minutes. If you're ever interested in seeing it, just let me know. :) ___ Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
It's not like anyone is going to watch his edited video before they watch the actual movie... 99%(citation needed) of the people will find this movie through Netflix (or other source), be enamored by it, and find this message board. Then they will watch the edited version. No harm done. The first viewing of this movie is truly an unforgettable experience, and magnified if your are a little messed up on any number of substances.
hey u still offering acess to ur fanedit of enter the avoid? plz let me kno. Some1 sent me there fanedit yrs ago; I was greatful and assured them I would let them know what I thought, but soon after had a HD fail and lost all traces.
I wonder if you were that person. I want to say it was original thru the fanedit site.
The site was extremely more free & open @ the time, cuz Ive since revisited like 2 months ago and was shocked how its basically just a catolgue of Fanedits that have been made
(basic details, zero links or instructions to any, and also heavy warnings about not even slightly requesting any).
Kinda turned me off completely from further browsing the once great site/forum. So many "Forums" are becoming the opposite of what their purpose / greatness is.... Lame!!! Thanks for listening if nothing else. Cheers!
If you really want to do this just to watch it yourself, I guess go right ahead. But I think it's kind of a silly thing to do. I agree that Gaspar Noe can be a bit indulgent, and I agree that this film suffers for it. But it's still his film. I think viewers should either accept it as it is, or move along and watch something else.
It might be a flawed masterpiece, but it IS a masterpiece. Gaspar Noe is one of the rare directors who isn't just interested in making an "illustrated script." He's trying to do more than just feed the audience information and tell a story as efficiently and clearly as possible. He's a director that is interested in using all the different facets of cinema (camera, lights, sound, music) to make you EXPERIENCE something. Just imagine how mediocre "Irreversible" could've been in another director's hands. The story itself is nothing new. He didn't just want you to know that Marcus was out of control, he used the camera and sound to make you feel just as out of control. He didn't just want you to know that Alex was raped to explain Marcus's behavior, he wanted you to experience and understand just how horrible that was.
Whether or not this constitutes good filmmaking is a matter of opinion. But my point is that you have to take the films on the director's terms. When you sit down to watch a movie, you're putting yourself in the director's hands. You'll see and feel what he/she wants you to see and feel, and if you don't like it, then watch another movie. If you find yourself watching every movie and thinking only of how you would have done it differently, then become a filmmaker yourself. But I think it's wrong, on some level, to take someone else's film and make little "adjustments" to it to fit your own tastes.
On some level I agree with you. And hell, I have been that way for my entire movie loving career up until this point. I have always either kept watching a movie I liked, or quit watching a movie I hated. I'm not sure why I can't let this one go. Because I most assuredly did not like it as a whole. But there are aspects I do like.
Of course, I have seen several fan edited movies, and it's interesting to me to see how other people have edited movies I like. Take Star Wars the Phantom Menace for example. It has one of the most fan edits of all time, The Phantom Edit. It really does make the movie alittle more enjoyable to watch. It can't totally fix it mind you, but it a real good attempt.
As for me, if I was a director, I don't think I would have any issues with it. While I have never directed a film or done anything close, I have created things only to have people ask me if it was ok if they take it and make some adjustments to make it their own...and I have never minded. I'm always flattered by it, that I inspired them enough to try something new and that they wanted to use my work as a spring board.
I guess I hoped that might be the case with this...but it seems not. Regardless tho, I still think this would work better as a shorter movie and so I'd like to try my hand at recutting it...just to see what I can do.
I should also point out that I don't watch movies thinking only of what I could do differently, and I have never done so except with this movie. I'm not sure what it was about this movie that has prompted me to do this. I can't explain it. Because like I said, I do not like this movie, and for every movie I have hated before I have never once even briefly considered trying to redit it. So I don't know why I want to do that with this one...

First off, in today's day and age, you certainly CAN make your own film. The means are very available especially on a low budget level. Second of all, let's put it this way- You made a painting. That painting took you 3 years to paint and you put time, money, and most of all your passion in to this piece of art. You display it across the world for all to see. Some people like it, some people don't. Ok, that comes with the territory, and critics are in all of us. But what if someone came along and started painting over this piece of art you worked tirelessly on for years. They cropped the canvas, they used a completely different color scheme and painted over your art because it didn't suit them. As a filmmaker, you need to realize that someone's film is their art and that you should just let it be. If you're inspired by the film, create something similar- but in your own creation. Get a cheap camera and use it to your advantage. Make it your own. I understand why you want to recut the film but I don't think it's progressive from a filmmaking point of view.
As I have said before, I have a product I make...some have called it art, but I'm not sure I want to call it that. Regardless, I have had people ask me if its ok if they take what I have created and modify it to suit their needs. I have always, and will always, be totally cool with that. I'm honored in fact. The fact that they liked it enough to want to use it in a new way is fine with me.
This might sound stupid...but, what I create is character sheets for pen & paper RPG's. Sure, its not a movie, and hell, its probably not art. But, I spend lots of time on it and I make them like I want to make them. But, I also have no issues with people taking my work and using it as they will. I'm always flattered when someone asks me if they can use my work and tweak it.
In the instance with the painting, again, if someone saw a painting of mine, felt like copying it and making a variation, I don't have any issues. Now, if they took my one and only copy and changed it, then I might have an issue. But in this case, it's not like I'm taking the negative of this movie and cutting it. I'm just taking a copy I purchased and reediting it. I'm not changing the original in any way. It will still exist after I do this.
All that said, I understand where you're coming from, I just don't totally agree. In this case, I don't have to take it or leave it. I bought a copy...I can edit it if I want to.
Besides, it's not like me doing this is going to ruin the movie for you...or anyone else for that matter. This is for me. I just thought it might be interesting to see peoples thoughts of doing such a thing. So, much like this original movie, some like the idea of it...others don't. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. I'm doing this. Just because I want to. Besides, if I can recut a movie a I dont like into something I do like, then imagine what I'll do with something I actually do like....once I get around to making one(or helping to make one)?
As for anyone making a movie, I agree, but only to a point. Sure, anyone can buy a camera and start shooting. But that doesn't make a movie. As you said, movies are art...and not everyone is an artist. I love movies. I'd love to make one. I'm just not sure I can do that type of art, as much as I love it.
Anyway, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, that's not my intent. And I can't explain why I want to do this...I just do.
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
I get it. In fact, you make a valid point. I'm thinking from the Noe's perspective. But if you really feel like you want to make a different fan film, I say go for it. I'd be interested in seeing your cut. Good luck.
I have to admit, there is a part of me that wonders what I'd think if I had a movie and someone wanted to recut it. I mean, I don't mind people editing my characters sheets, but I guess that's a little different from a movie.
So, I'm not sure what I'd think. I'd like to think I'd be ok with it, but who knows. I mean, I guess if I thought I make the perfect movie it'd be weird to think of someone recutting it. But, at the same time, I'd be curious to see what someone who wasn't involved with making it might do with the material.
Maybe one day I'll get to make a movie of my own and find out.
And thanks. Sadly, I haven't got to start it yet. I need to sit down and watch the full movie once or twice more, make a few notes and such...then I can start.
I'll let you know how it turns out...assuming I can pull it off. I really want to.
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
Yes, but at the same time, there's no harm done in trying to refine what has already been perfectly illustrated. That's basically what science is. People building upon what others have already worked tirelessly on. And if it sucks, then ignore it.
I love Enter the Void, but I'm considering making some minor tweaks to it myself. Unlike the cut you're planning, though, mine would likely be longer than Noe's.
I don't know if I'll ever actually get around to it. Its not like I'd be able to post it anywhere legally anyway.
At any rate, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
For me, the only scene I think the movie can do without is the third time the audience gets nailed with the car crash. By the time it gets to this scene, the flashback sequence that took up around an hour is long gone, so showing the accident again just seems out of place. I'm sure Noe had his reasons why he did it...perhaps to throw one more shock moment at the audience. The scene itself is definitely gut-wrenching with the little girls realistic reactions but it had already been done twice and the story had moved past it.
Other than that, the length didn't bother me at all. Some of the best movies ever made are as long or longer than ETV.

Wow, a longer cut. I have to admit, that's not something I had considered...since I think it ran too long to begin with it. What all are you considering doing?
If you ever do it, keep us updated. It'd be interesting to hear what you do with it.
Of course, yea, I'm not sure if I could post mine legally either. Sure there is the Fanedit.org site, but they aren't really hosting the movies. And there is the disclaimer about needing to own the movie before viewing a fan edit.
Not sure the legality of all that....but I'd love to find a way for people to watch the recut. Just not sure I'll be able to...but it's something I should look into.
Anyone have any insight into that?
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
Of course, I don't think that analogy applies to what I'm doing here. I mean, it's not like I'm going to find all copies of this movie and destroy them, then strap you in a chair a clockwerk orange style and force you to watch my version.
The original will still exist, and you'll most likely never see my edited version.

So I got my blu-ray today, sat down with a note pad and started to watch this.
My god. This movie is so mind numbing. It drones on waaaay too long, and it's just so..all over the place.
I know I wanted to make a shorter version...but I dunno, it might not be worth it. I'm going to try...but part of me is considering just cutting my losses and giving up on this.
So, upon a 2nd viewing, I seem to like the movie even less. Especially considering what the director has gone on record saying what the movie is about, which is essentially nothing. It's a movie about nothing with some trippy effects and thats about it...
If I still decide to do this, I have my work cut out for me. And, it's starting to look impossible the more I think about it..

The problem I'm running into is there is a low frequency hum that runs through most of the movie, but it changes pitch alot. So every time I try to make a cut, you can tell the audio doesn't quite match because of it...
I'm not sure I know enough about editing audio...so this might not be possible for me.
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
Fanedit would be good for a FIRST VIEWING, but alas i already saw it and hated it. No way i will even bother with a second viewing. The day before i saw Dark Swan, so it might have something to do with it. I actually like mindfock movies, but these just didn't do the trick at all..meh.
Well..least its not just me that didn't like it. I can't believe I watched it a second time...but I'm not sure if I can pull off fanedit now. But, we'll see how it goes.
And I'm with you on Black Swan, loved it!!
Our Universe is ruled by random whim, inhabited by people who laugh at logic. -Dexter
I don't know if you have a Mac or not but if you do, you should be able to edit the movie the way you want, then run it through Garageband where you can manipulate the audio pitch between your edits so they flow together. I don't know how complicated it would be but it could be done. I'm sure Windows has a similar program available if you're not using a Mac.

Sadly, I do not own a Mac(tho I do have an iPad. Not the same thing tho).
I was trying to use Adobe Premiere for this work, but I'm not that familiar with it I guess. I can't figure how to mess with the audio. Just have to keep playing around I guess. Or, find some different software...

That sucks because iMovie and Garageband are very user friendly and it's easy to learn the basics.

But, maybe I can find some better software. While Premiere is pretty easy when it comes to the cuts, I can't figure out how to mess with the audio to the effect I want to..

So I went ahead and made a rough recut this afternoon. It runs 1 hour and 7 minutes. I'll watch it tonight and see how it flows. If I like it, then I'll only have to tweak the audio.
I did something a little different with the ending. Instead of the whole rebirth thing, I move a few scenes around and imply that Linda kills herself after seeing oscars body(the scene where it looks like she OD's). I then cut back to the scene where they talk about the pact. It ends there.
I'll see how that works, and if it doesn't, then I'll try again. But, I thought that might be an interesting way to take it.

"Am I missing the point in some way? Because honestly, I thought the movie was alittle long and drawn out."
Yes, you are missing the point. Consider this...
Have you ever seen a Tarkovskiy film? Andrei Rublev perhaps? I've seen several and I do not care for the style at all. Those who love art house film love this movie; Tarkovskiy films are considered art.
If you think the film was long and drawn out, then you just don't care for the style, the same way many don't care for Tarkovskiy. In my opinion, this film is perfect the way it is. Any editing would be butchering a work of art in order to make it more like the rest of the cookie cutter formula movies we already have.
But go ahead and have fun. It won't be anything I'd be interested in seeing.
Heres the thing tho, I like parts of the movie. The movie has an awesome look and feel to it. To me tho, it just more like an expiremental film, and in my mind, movies like that shouldn't run 2 hours and 40 minutes. They should be shorter.
But, I love some of the style of this movie, I just felt like it dragged on.
As for making it cookie cutter, thats not something I'm interested in doing. And I couldn't make this movie cookie cutter even if I wanted to. We have enough cookie cutter movies in the world. But thats not what I'm trying to do. I'm just trying to condense it down into a smaller bite if you will. Or, I'm taking something I kind of like and looking at it in a different way.
For example(and this example is by no means a comparison as the movies couldn't be more different), this weekend I watched a fanedit of the movie Total Recall. They cut it alot like the movie Memento, which made the it more mysterious. It was a new way to watch a movie I like. Thats what I like to think I'm doing here.
But, much like the original, my recut won't be for everyone. If you love the original movie, then you have no real reason to watch my recut. I'm not trying to replace the original(for anyone but myself). I wouldn't want to replace the original anyway...

I've come to scrutinize Noe's camera work. He sends subtle messages by the direction in which the camera swirls, the abstract images, and the sounds. For me, the most interesting and controversial use of his camera work was in Irreversible during the last scene, where I believe he showed whether Alex lived or died, by use of this camera work/images/sound.
So what I'm saying is, I view a Noe film as a work of art, where the more you study this abstract, the more understanding you come to realize, what is in the mind of the director who is telling us this story. If that is cut out, the depth is gone.
But as for a short, it would still make a decent shorter film I suppose. Anyway, good luck on your project and I suppose it wouldn't hurt to view your editing when it's done.
Thanks for understanding(and for being cool about it). I'm not sure why I feel like I have to do it..it's just something that intrests me I guess. It's captured my imagination I suppose. I love some of the camera work and some of the images, but for whatever reason, I just can't take the full version. I like the idea of it, and maybe thats why I wanted a shorter version.
Of course, my shorter version is ALOT different in terms of story I guess, since I'll be ending it alot differently, and implying things at the end that the movie as a whole didn't.
Anyway, if you own a copy of the movie, I don't see why I couldn't get you a copy of the finished short version. I'm just about done with it in fact. I did a "rough" cut this weekend and I've been tweaking it here and there this week. I think I have all my audio issues corrected and everything seems flow fairly well. So, I'm just about done with it.
I'd love to see what some people thought of it...but, at the end of day, I did this for me, so it ultimately doesn't matter if anyone else likes it. It'd be awesome if you did...but, since you really like the original, I'm not sure how you would react to this one.
If you look above, I think I talk about how I'm ending my short. What are you're thoughts about that?

I finally figured out how to mess with the audio in Premiere, using some audio fades between scenes to smooth out the audio and have it flow more between scenes, instead of an abrupt change.
I originally just cut the video and then I was going to try Mixcraft 5 to correct the audio, but then I finally figured out how to do audio effects in Premiere. So I stuck with that. I've been testing for the past 2 days, making edits and testing the audio and it seems to flow much better now.
About the only "issue" I have now, which isn't a big deal to me really, is the exported video is only 2.1 sound. But I'm not sure if thats because of the way I'm exporting it, or the source video I'm using. But, listening to it on my home theater at home, the audio is still pretty good, so I haven't worried about it too much.
BTW, I appreciate the help tho, and the recomendation of Mixcraft. It looks like awesome software, and I have to get it anyway, just to play around with it. Also, you helped push me to continue working on this...and I really like what I've done with it. Not sure what anyone else will think, but I really dig it.
So thanks for the push. :)

So I think I'm close to being done with the fanedit. I sent a few people here who were interested in it a PM.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone. Especially those who seemed to be against the idea. That really pushed me to see what exactly I could do with this. I'm not sure hardcore fans of the movies will like that I did with the material...but, I made something that I enjoy. I took all the elements I liked from the movie and crafted them into a slightly different take on the material. I even ended it alot differently.
But, I wanted to say thanks to everyone, whether you were for or against the idea of me doing it.
