shareThey've certainly taken Homelander's lasers and lived to tell the tale. Butcher was briefly blasted. Stormfront got off on laser damage to her chest, even though it hurt. Now think about who amputated Stormfront. From the showrunner: "The strength of Ryan's lasers — which were surprisingly powerful — are way more powerful than even Homelander's when Ryan gets angry enough."
Anyway, another ending that would be fitting would be Homelander losing his powers. I now doubt this will occur as this failed with Soldier Boy, and it's the current plan with the disease. In stories, the stated plan almost always fails.
Shotguns, deer rifles, bazookas, tanks clearly have no effect.
I think a fast acting poison could end him.
A concentration of foxglove, nightshade or poinsettia could put him to sleep.
