I actually expected Homelander and Soldier Boy to team up and push the team to finally go full V.
But they did something that potentially might be more interesting - a supe VP. Which means next season it will be the whole might of the United States against the Boys. And if the creators won't fuck it up... The next season might be epic.
Fingers crossed, brothers and sisters, the show will continue to rock.

Overall I thought the finale was solid. The fight scenes were incredible.
I feel like they kinda pulled the rug out on a few things though. Like the whole Maeve "sacrificing" herself, only to find out she just lost her powers and is living happily with her scorned lover suddenly at the end. I know Kimiko took a Soldier Boy blast before and also only lost her powers, but that was a much smaller blast.. I felt like it would have been more impactful if that was the end of Maeve's character. Or are they planning to explore her life without powers now while she's living on a farm? If so...zzzzz
Also, how was she able to start kicking Homelander's ass so easily? I know he had bled before after the encounter with Butcher and Soldier Boy earlier this season, but I guess I'd assumed he was back to full strength now. Maybe he wasn't trying actually kill her? Seems like he should have just been able to grab her by the arms and tear her apart..but whatever. It's still nice to see him get his comeuppance, if even for a little bit.
