Looks matter
What i liked:
- How women fall for looks hard, i think that is realistic
- His ex, that tells him to fuck off, but you see in her eyes she still 'loves' him, seemingly just because he is very attractive
(she right before says she regards him attractive but he has no other redeeming qualities)
- How humbling and 'sad' it is him trying to sexually seduce the older lady in the hotel pool because he is broke and really needs the money.
Again, it's all about looks, it's perceived to be sad by pretty much anybody because it's an obvious tradeoff for his looks and her wealth.
The whole meaning is totally different if she would be superhot.
People who say 'looks don't matter' are insane imo.
Whoring yourself out for money, main character is one of the few men being able to do that, i guess 4% of men could do that, and 50% of women can. And it's a choice. And i guess it's so much more a thing in LA than in anything else lower than a 1mio city.
