The original My bloody Valentine is a classic and one of the most underrated films of all time. this remake does not justice to it at all. the acting is ok but the film is a tad boring. the original was more suspenseful and scary and had better acting in my opinion. Also the ending was much more memorable than this one i wont spoil either one but the one here is pretty forgettable.

Overall this one does deliever its share of chills and jolts but if its suspense and scariness you want skip this and watch the first.

Yeah, this one relied too much on silliness and campiness which made it more like a comedy than a horror film. I miss the days of straightforward, brutal horror films (original Black Christmas, original TX Chainsaw Massacre, etc.)

I'm sorry but this is where that dreadful excuse "It was made in the 80's so it's better" does not fly.

You can destroy the remake all you want...But don't dare tell me how good the original is because it's just not. It's dreadful on so many levels it's not funny.

This was a good remake, but the original is good mister. The OP is right, it IS a classic, and a great fun and suspenseful horror film.

I prefer the original, but come on! This is a damn good remake. Probably one of the best remakes done.
