I feel so sorry for affluent white men losing their high paying jobs
...I really must see this ... boo hoo.
Zachary Quinto is ridiculously sexy! Robert Downey Jr....is pure sex!

We got into this mess in the first place by being divisive... Let's not make it worse!
The truth is, nobody is better than anyone else. Losing your job sucks no matter what colour you are, or how much you earn... Try and have a little empathy; we're all human beings. I guess rich people don't deserve to have their stories told, huh?! That's a crock; movies should be made about all ranks of society. If you are an actress, or want to be an actress yourself, then wouldn't you like the chance to earn some big money?
Born when she kissed me, died when she left me, lived whilst she loved me
It's all relative.
It hurts more to fall from penthouse to sidewalk than from sidewalk to gutter.
It's about age not race now - people laid off at 50+ are too busy preparing for death to cry.
shareRacists such as deniseactress don't realize how foolish they are.
share I feel so sorry for affluent white men losing their high paying jobs
This is by far the stupidest thing I ever read. I am not an affluent white man and I lost my job in my particular industry. I graduated a few years ago and with only three years of back office experience there are not many people wanting to take me on board due to me still being a junior and wanting people with more experience.
I've spent a year teaching English and have recently manage to secure a job in the Shipping Industry.
My question to you is - do you have any idea what it is like being called into an office and being told that you're being cut? Do you have any idea what that feeling of clearing your desk out and walking out of the office for the last time is like while everybody watches you knowing that you're doing the final march?
I lost my apartment, what I thought was my dignity and self worth, I went from independence to having to move back in with my folks, from going home whenever I wanted to being back on a curfew. I can't imagine what it would be like having to go back home to a wife and kids and telling them that I don't have a job. It wouldn't matter what color you are, where you're from - losing your job is a serious thing. At least I had a safety net in the form of my parents - what happens when you are the safety net and cannot be that for your family?

What has race got to do with the OP's post? The guy Bobby got the construction job for was black and he had lost his high-paying job.
shareIt's sad when anybody is laid off, especially if it is unexpected. Today, this seems to be happening a lot and I empathize with those who have to go through lay offs. Sometimes people are laid off when they are close to retirement unexpectedly. That is cruel. Big business is like politics -nasty.
