Normally I'd agree with an outfit such as that being exploitative, but I don't think it's out of place here. She was planning on going to that party with her friends mid-day, which I'd presume would be indoors.

We get used to not wearing coats and gloves b/c they get stolen from coat check or we lose our coat check tickets. When I was a teenager we wore mini skirts and shorts in the winter. It drove our moms crazy. They were always saying we were going to sick, we never got sick.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. share
