I can't take Timothée Chalamet seriously as the lead


He is such a bad unconvincing actor and this shows in the trailer. He is just...there and looks too much like a dolled up little boy. He had this same problem in Little Women, not convincing at all.

Ben Whishaw would have been a better choice overall.

He is a big show off. I liked him in a few things, but he is really annoying in interviews. He thinks he is the shit.

While I'm not someone that insists that actors be the same age as their characters, I'm not sure a 40 year old can carry off a 15 year old. Paul Atreides is 15 at the beginning of the story. He's only 17 at the end (of the novel).

He is the weak part of the movie for sure.

Agreed. He reminds me of the horribly miscast lead from Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
