I haven't watched the full film yet, but I did wonder about Blanc in the new trailer Drooch, because I'm pretty sure that Benoit Blanc didn't come across as being a raving alphabet poofter in the first Knives Out film.

I actually assumed that the Brit who answered his door was his butler. The director should have kept his mouth shut about it. Why give some people a reason to avoid watching it?
What I did not believe was the revelation (much later) as to how he got involved in this case. I did not think that a supposedly famous detective could be contacted so easily, in person as shown. But that did not really affect the story telling.

TBH I didn’t even get the scene as I thought Hung Grant was just his butler answering the door. I do recall a couple of boos from the audience at the time that now make sense.
