I deleted it after 30 minutes because it was going nowhere in a very boring manner.

I really tried with it since I was a kid in the 80s and could recognize the tropes, but I finally had to turn it off. Those kids seemed like automatons without the slightest bit of spontaneity which is toxic for a comedy. Neil Parrick Harris was likable but this got too ridiculous for me. There was one disgusting sequence centered around dog shit that goes on for about ten minutes. This will NOT become the new Christmas Story it aspires to be.

The pacing was too high. You never really had the time to feel it until the next scene was on.

Agreed. I should have liked it... didn't make it 20 minutes
