It's yet another one of IMDB's weird "show" listings. It's an episode from a show called Geeks + Gamers. And what makes it even more ridiculous is that it's not even a TV show. It's a fucking YouTube channel. Anyway, here is the way it's actually listed on IMDb:
Geeks + Gamers
Emperor Palpatine's Return in Rise Of Skywalker was Kathleen Kennedy's Idea - Of Course
Episode aired Jan 1, 2020
S5.E3
Excuse me, Geeks+Gamers is excellent in defending pop culture, and Jeremy is one hell of a great guy!
Excuse me, but I don't give a fuck who or what they are or do. I only stated what it was. I don't think that YouTube channels should be listed on IMDb. Especially when one of their podcast episodes is listed on here as a "movie".
shareI agree. A line should be drawn.
shareIt seriously really should. Some of these boards are ridiculous. A board for Jesus Christ?? I know he's been the subject of countless movies TV shows and songs etc. But he's never actually starred in any of them LOL. That's what the Religion and Faith board is for. And politicians. They shouldn't have boards either. I've said before I could see Donald Trump having his own board because he had his own TV show for years. But there really doesn't need to be a board for every politician there is. That's what the politics board is for.
shareWell, you're right about not listing such things as a movie, as you say. I don't know who added this to the MC database, but it will most likely open the floodgates to many more entries if it isn't stamped on and this entry should be deleted as a deterrent.
But I was right about G+G and Jeremy, however :)
I've been seeing more and more of this stuff pop up lately. I've left many comments when these kind of things pop up about them being episodes from TV shows or YouTube channels/podcasts. And IMDb is where they're being listed. Every new listing that pops up on IMDb automatically gets exported over to MC.
I think it should be for instance if you're going to list an episode from a TV show, don't list it as just the name of the episode. It should be listed as the name of the television show, and then with a dash, and then you list the name of the episode. That way there's less confusion about things. And also as an example, if they really are serious about listing podcasts from YouTube, then it should be listed as Geeks and Gamers, and then a dash, and then the name of the episode. So like I said there's less confusion. And list it as "podcast" episode, and not "movie" etc.
