Punk Rock Belinda Looked Like Siouxsie Sioux
The early Go-Go's really cultivated the UK's punk look and sound. Was interesting to see the band's transformation over time. Beastie Boys went through a similar evolution.
Fun documentary about a great band. Hard to believe there have been so few truly popular all girl bands who wrote their own songs and played their own instruments...The Go-Go's and The Bangles were the only ones I could think of.
Sidenote: Charlotte Caffey's riff for "We Got the Beat" is one of the best riffs of the 1980s and made the opening to Fast Times at Ridgemont High one of the coolest openings ever.
