Apes didn't evolve after becoming "smart"

In those movies it's centuries since apes became self aware and smart. In very first movie it's been 700 years. Yet we see them not evolving at all.

They can't built anything. Houses from stones, concrete. Humans could build giant castles and towns since forever. Back to Roman Empire and Ancient Egyptians. Yet apes just live basically like very low iq savages.

Despite having everything that humans build. But even without that - no evolve for centuries. They just ride horses. Can they even read?

They even wear same cloth for centuries.

Just finished the movie. It´s ridiculous. 0 science, 0 nothing, 0 evolving. And that scene at the end with the human bunker completely destroys the movie

Yes. Humans were so modern and relaxed like they went into that bunker month ago and not centuries. How much time actually went by in every new Apes movies? Since humans became ill.

Wiki says "300 years after Caesar's death". Wow. So those people in the bunker lived there for generations for 300 years...

And even worse, they were american, and the first bunker they managed to contact was american as well. Honestly, the person who wrote that crap should be fired.

reply

Wow. So those people in the bunker lived there for generations for 300 years...

That's just an assumption. There's nothing in the film which tells us that.

And in fact the fact that one of the decryption things was missing makes it more like likely that they didn't...

Humans have been as smart as we are today for 200.000 years and it took us over 180.000 years to start practicing agriculture.

It's not the same thing. Inventing something new from the blank is harder than copying something that already exists. Apes have knowledge of human technology, they can just copy from humans. Human history has endless stories of copy: native Americans found out writing from Europeans then they built their own writing system, the Japanese saw The Black Ships then they figured out how to build ships powered from coal...

I'd an explanation. The foundation of civilization is population. Every human civilization had a huge population. I don't think I need to explain the reason to you, you will understand why the population is the key to evolve. Apes in the movie had a very low population, which hindered their evolve.
