shareWhat was up with the goofiness? Totally thought I missed an episode. WTH? Why mess with Pete during the final season. He looked like a 13 yr old in a 40 year old body. I'd rather see this as a final season, then have to go through another season with baby Pete!

I came to IMDB to specifically kinda ask your question. In the middle of last season I had to stop watching because of this. Why did they make Pete a 13 year old boy? In the Pilot he's a serious Secret Service Agent but pretty soon he's a goofy 13 year old who stumbles and bumbles his way to wins. I've also always wondered if Syfy shows are written specifically for younger smart nerd teens who write Doctor Who/Renaissance Faire slash fiction with no sex involved.

It was pretty much through the whole series as far as his obnoxiousness, but in 4 & 5 he just went totally off the rails. (Then again, I thought Claudia was even worse. It was like SMG in BtVS with all the screeching and whining and over dramatic melodrama. You KNOW it's bad when you find yourself cheering while a main protagonist character is getting bronzed.)
