Multiple Personality Disorder

It was pretty obvious to me he never had multiple personality disorder based on the events of the first film. He was just someone at the end of his rope. The characters in the movie don’t necessarily know that so it makes sense it would be an issue brought up in trial but I didn’t think it was a big reveal to the movie audience. The only thing significant about the scene is that he admits it to the jury.

he didn't though, which he admitted in this film

If you got multiple personality disorders you might not believe you do. Either way he's schizophrenic.

The movie starts off with a cartoon about his shadow.

Then at the end of the movie a guy who was always behind him in the background kills him. Was the guy even real? Or was he the hallucinagenic manefestation of the Joker personality?

Earlier in the movie Arthur has visions of him getting shot in the stomach.

Joker is unreliable. If he has multiple personality, how is he going to know?

The guy used to go on dates with a girl he never went on dates with.
