I have just watched it, it really is as bad as people are saying.

I actually quite liked the first 30 minutes or so, then it just got really dull, uninteresting and those songs are so badly done.

Ending as bad as people are saying

One of the worst " big movies" I have ever seen

A generous 2/10

0/10, obviously. A repugnant ego vehicle for the broad.

1/10. I feel scammed and want my money back. Every time a scene was establishing itself and out of nowhere they start to sing - made me so angry.

90% of the way through when he escapes the courtroom and is in the car I thought "okay finally something will happen, this is Joker i paid for", only for the movie to completely reverse it and end in the most horrible way imaginable.

This movie is a great movie if you want to troll someone and waste their time/money.

8/10, much better than I thought it would be. I liked the balanced cross of psychological drama, musical, legal drama.

Todd Phillips totally misjudged the fact that when you make a film to subvert audience expectations (like The Last Jedi or the final season of Game of Thrones) there will be huge backlash now thanks to how quickly word of mouth can spread online.

Instead of making a natural continuation of the character from the first film we had this uninteresting, contrived, expectation-subverting borefest.

Subverting expectations is the worst storytelling technique, it’s not clever and just pisses off your audience that paid to see your movie because you’re basically trolling them.

Thankfully Todd Phillips has had his own expectations subverted as his movie has been rightfully panned by critics and audiences alike and bombed at the box office. He somehow managed to make a worse sequel than his own The Hangover Part 3 and I won’t go see any of his future films, anyone that trolls their audience is not someone I want to support.

If you're gonna make a bad film, make sure it's "so bad it's good". This is just bad and dull.
