This is a VERY well made movie. The re-watchability of it is endless. You will see and find new details with every viewing. That's how rich and nuanced it is. And that opening scene/music?! Phenomenal!!!!

A very good movie for sure. I have only seen it once but should probably give it another view. I also liked that opening shot as the camera is approaching the dock. Don't know why but it made you feel like you were there, moreso than other similar shots. Scorsese knows things.

Agreed. And that same principle can be applied to other Scorcese films (the benefit of a re-watch, I mean). "Goodfellas" and "The Departed" come to mind. Also "Taxi Driver", depending on your mood.

Love this film.
The fact that it can be enjoyed multiple times is a stroke of genius.

Martin might be the best director of all time. This was great.
