Music too LOUD!

I don't know if I watched a copy with bad audio but the soundtrack was SO loud! It bothered the cr*p out of me.

I noticed that, too. Often means someone is trying to sell song albums from the movie. It added to the many reasons this movie untimately failed.

Watched twice the movie, on vod and then first airing on TV and sound was perfectly fine and loved the music.

Just watched this on one of the movie channels and must agree. The music was mixed WAY too hot. It was so bad that I dialed the audio to half volume and enabled CC so I could read what was being said.

It's not like directors or audio editors read anything here but I'd still like to say, I deducted one full point from my rating strictly because of the horrible audio.

This is no different than the problem with action films where action scenes are loud and dialogue scenes much quieter, it's the way the sound is mixed. Firstly, Blu-ray is going to be optimal in any situation, and secondly, the sound is designed and presented on Blu-ray in 5.1 or 7.1 mixes in recent films. This means that the films and TV shows are meant to be viewed in 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound setups, not TV speakers. With how thin TVs now are, it is impossible to fit good speakers in, and with surround sound, each channel gets its own speaker. The "loud" scenes whether music in this film or action in an action film are simply scenes with sound in each channel, or surround speaker. When heard through just TV speakers, they appear loud, but in surround sound, they occupy each speaker and are no louder than any other, thus, the volume does not need to be adjusted. Blu-ray, surround sound, and a nice sized TV all come together to embody the way movies are meant to be enjoyed at home. Hope this helps!

An attempt to be cheeky, hip and cool I guess. Using a music video approach to make up for bad writing.
