Total Coyote Ugly ripoff..

I mean seriously. This movie was by far one of the saddest attempts to recreate the formula given by moulin rouge and coyote ugly.
First, the country girl who quits a waitressing job to come to the city and "make it", whose appartment then gets absurdly robbed? Sorry, but Coyote got there first.
And then of course they were going to use Kidmans adaptation of Diamonds are a girls best friend, in the exact same fashion used in Moulin Rouge, let alone the rest of the movie, which basically involves the same plot as Rouge (millionaire wanting to buy the club to turn it into something else, and also wants the starlet).
I mean seriously! come on! There are better and more original scripts out there!
The musical numbers were pretty much the only thing that kept me watching the rest of the movie.
... and of course Chers cheekbones.

Coyote ugly, Chicago, cabaret, moulin rouge.

This movie is ripoff from beginning to end.
I still find it entertaining cuz the found something to make it great. That thing that makes people come back to it again and again.
For me that thing is the burlesque and Stanley Tucci. :)

You know, Coyote Ugly wasn't invigorating in terms of inventing that kind of plotline. It's a premise that has existed long priorly and Coyote Ugly was actually panned for it back on it's release.

Coyote Ugly + Cabaret + Sweet Charity + ... oh let's be realistic, it's just an extended music video.

I totally agree with you! I have never seen Mouling Rouge before, so those Ideas were also stolen? Good to know.
But however I really liked burlesque
