Dewey instead of Gale i mean there's no debate that dewey was the way more likeable character and if scream fans had of choice for 1 of them to be axe off the movie everyone would have preferred it be gale.

In a very multiracial cast only white characters died. When black characters were ‘killed’ they miraculously sprang back to life!
I said for a while that Dewey would make for a better transitional character because he is a cop (although he is in forced retirement here). But his character would have made sense to be involved with a whole new cast of characters.
Gale has kind of run her course, and should have died in Scream 4
And from what i hear Courtney cox is the hardest actor of the 3 to get partly because she is always bust with other projects so it would make sense to kill her off.
