razzie for Leto - House of Gucci (2021) Discussion

Whoever does the Razzies doesn't understand acting. Leto was great in House of Gucci. He did exactly what the role required of him. He is intentionally larger than life and over the top. He was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award and Critics Choice Award and has a shot at an Oscar nomination tomorrow.

If you didn't like his character, that's fine, but the man did act the hell out of the role.
There was nothing Razzie nomination about it.

The heck, he definitely should get one! Any recent movie he is in, his scenes are like a black hole of entertainment. I hate all scenes he is in it. If this is intentious, that he is in really every role supposed to be hated by the audience, ok, best casting ever. But it should be then time to show his talend by playing a role you really like. If you show me a movie like this, I believe you, he is a super actor, otherwise I am truly convinced he is just bad.

I didn't even realize he was in the movie until the end credits. Then I was racking my brain trying to figure out which F'ing character he played. I could not for the life of me remember seeing him. Google'd it and saw that they'd put him in total prosthetics to the point of being completely unrecognizable. So WTF was the point of even hiring him!? Why not just hire someone else??

Same thing as with Colin Farrell in The Batman :)
I was thinking throughout the movie that this was some old chubby guy with eyes looking a bit like Jared Leto's.

He should get 3 Razzies for that buffoonish performance, complete with vaudeville “Italian-a accent.” Reminds one of Bill Dana and his “Jose Jimenez” ethnic caricature. He was ridiculous.
