She seemingly killed at least scores of commoners during Aegon's coronation though. I think that was out of character for what she otherwise appears to be though, and was a poorly conceived scene in my opinion.

I think they were in the way for her to escape, its mentioned that the coronation is held at the dragon pit.

I’m not sure how many were “killed”. Hurt maybe. She didn’t have the dragon eat or roast anybody. In the books Aegon got seriously messed up, she hurt him in it but so far left him alone in the show.

I watched the scene again on YouTube so it would be fresh, and while it only explicitly shows a few assumed deaths, when the dragon emerges huge pieces of stone fly from a large area; the explosion was similar to a bomb. There's no way that at least scores of people died, not to mention how many were just injured.

Not totally out of character - at least not the killing of the commoners, she always seemed cold and very calculated to me.

Just weird that the she did that without taking the final step ...

There is a difference between cold and calculating and engaging in mass murder against innocent people who were forced to be there (as she well knew since she was ushered in with the crowd as well). On top of that, she didn't even take out the Greens who imprisoned her, so she killed people just to send a message to them. I just think it's bad writing, and it wasn't even in the source material to my understanding.

In my opinion, and I'm an expert in these matters, I would say Rhaenrya and Aemond are the most interesting/likable characters. But to be honest, none of them are all that likeable.

Rheanys is the oddest looking one, that's for sure and that makes her less likeable. Eve Best is really not this strange looking. And why she is favoring Rhaenrya is a big question. Sure, Rheanrya showed restraint but she also killed her son, or at least she thinks her son is dead. So, anything for the realm I suppose. lol

Maybe Rhaenys just wants to see a woman on the Iron Throne. Simple as that.

I think that the best characters are Daemon, Viserys (RIP), Rhaenerya (espcially Milly), and Aemond. Characters like Alicent, Larys, Criston, etc., lack the charisma of their GOT counterparts.
